Grażka Lange and Monika Hanulak are acclaimed Polish artists working in illustration, book design and young art. Together they created books such as “A Book for a Dog”, “A Book for a Cat” (Dwie Siostry, 2022) and “Dog, Cat, Action! Animation” (Dwie Siostry, 2023).
Monika Hanulak
Illustrator, book designer and assistant lecturer at the Illustration Studio of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She illustrated and designed numerous books including “Smonia” (2006), “Julian Tuwim. Poems for Children” (2007) and “Philosophical Debate of a Rabbit and an Owl” (2009). She is a laureate of many national and international awards.
Grażka Lange
Designer of over 100 books, frequently awarded for her creative achievements. She teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, currently heading the Illustration Studio. She also collects Polish children’s books from the 1960s and 70s as well as international editions.
Style and direction
Their joint work combines illustration, graphic design and children’s literature. Their books stand out for originality, visual experimentation and contemporary aesthetics.
