Piotr Horodyński – interdisciplinary Polish artist, painter, designer, and illustrator. He experiments with style and technique, often drawing on magical realism and surrealism. His work spans painting, graphics, animation, and photography.
Piotr Horodyński (b. 1970, Łódź) is a versatile creator fascinated by many fields of art. He is a painter, graphic artist, illustrator, designer, animator, photographer, and writer. Art has always been his passion and a vital part of his life.
His primary field is easel painting, using oil, acrylic, pencil, and ink. He avoids labels, constantly experimenting with form, color, and technique. Stylistically, his works often refer to magical realism and surrealism. He divides them into three groups: Spaces, Forms, and Illusions. His aim is to provoke emotions and reflection, inviting viewers to think “beyond the frame”.
Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Graphics. He studied under Professors Stanisław Łabędzki and Bogusław Balicki, and developed painting skills with Professor Marian Kępiński. His works are in private collections in Poland and the USA. He collaborates with galleries and auction houses in Poland and abroad.
His painting “Changes”, dedicated to David Bowie, was a finalist in the DiamondsCraft NFT Art competition and exhibited in Berlin (2023). His work “Awakening” was presented at the Jacek Malczewski Museum in Radom (2022). His graphics have appeared on CD, DVD, and book covers, as well as magazines on art and fantasy.
