Grzegorz Klimek – Polish young art painter
Grzegorz Klimek (b. 1987, Kłobuck) is an artist associated with the young art movement. His paintings reflect continuous research into hidden structures of the world around us. Using diverse media – mixing, scraping and repainting – he creates unique textures and multi-layered compositions. A distinctive element of his work is the use of handmade paints.
Biography and education
Graduate of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (2013), also studied at Scuola del Libro in Urbino and Jan Długosz Academy in Częstochowa. Actively engaged in the Student Council. Mentored by professors Stanisław Kortyka and Wojciech Lupa.

Winner of the ArtNoble Prize (2013) at the Intermedia Art Festival M{i}aSTO Gwiazd. Honorable mentions include the Eibisch Competition (2017), Kreatywny Wrocław (2011) and Nowoodkryta (2013).
