Franciszek Ledóchowski – Polish artist working with film, photography, illustration, painting and graphic art. His practice combines young art with influences of pop art, abstraction and surrealism.
Franciszek Ledóchowski (b. 1981) is a versatile creator working in film, photography, illustration, painting and graphics. His art explores multiple perspectives of perceiving the world, using pop art, abstraction and surrealism to reflect the complexity of meaning.
He studied at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw, strongly influenced by Franciszek Starowieyski, as well as at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts d’Angers in France and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Graphics (graduated in 2007). His works have received numerous awards, including recognition from the Franciszka Eibisch Foundation.
Having explored many stylistic cycles, Ledóchowski has developed his own artistic amalgam. His painting refers both to Japanese gestural painting and to European traditions of the Renaissance and Surrealism.
He is part of the young art movement, blending experimentation with historical references.
