Mira Pürschel – abstract painter using bold colour, concise solid composition and delicate texture on large canvases; process-first, improvisational, inviting the viewer’s imagination. Works held in private collections in Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Austria and the USA.
Mira Pürschel (b. 1975, Warsaw) grew up in an artistic family and has devoted herself fully to art, constantly experimenting with media and techniques. Her practice combines bold colour, concise composition and delicate texture, most often on large-scale canvases. Rather than executing a pre-set plan, she follows present emotions, inviting an imaginative reading of the work.
A synthesis of gestural painting, expressive abstraction and geometric abstraction with color field and minimal art inflections. Energy and dynamism drive each painting; the process—embracing imperfection and honesty—is transformative.
