Vitali Shoupikov is an artist based in Gdańsk, Poland, creating large-format oil paintings on canvas. In his work, deer become symbols of inner strength, dignity and spiritual presence. His art is also inspired by sacred art, expressionism and surrealism.
Vitali Shoupikov lives and works in Gdańsk, Poland. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Belarusian National University. In his artistic practice, he combines an architectural background with an intuitive approach to painting, creating large-format oil paintings on canvas.
The main passion in the artist’s painting is deer. For Vitali Shoupikov, they are not merely animals, but symbols of inner strength, nobility and dignity. In his paintings, the deer becomes a spiritual figure filled with expression, tension and personal meaning.
Another important theme that inspires the artist is sacred art. Vitali Shoupikov works in the styles of expressionism and surrealism, creating compositions full of emotion, symbolism and spiritual atmosphere. All of his works are painted exclusively with oil paints on canvas.
Vitali Shoupikov’s works have been presented in group exhibitions in Italy at the “Spazio 40” gallery, in France during the Sacred Art Festival “Senlis”, and in Poland at “Sacro Expo 2023”. His paintings are held in private collections in Poland, the Czech Republic, the United States, France and Italy. They have also appeared in art auction results.
The artist emphasizes that over the years of his creative work, he has noticed one unique quality in his deer paintings — their images seem to appear on the canvas by themselves, while he serves only as a guide. Once a painting is finished, each deer begins to wait for the person who will fall in love with it at first sight.
With respect for all art lovers,
