“Koncentracja” – abstract painting by Paweł Lubiński

“Koncentracja” is an abstract painting by Paweł Lubiński created in 2024 in acrylic, measuring 90 × 100 cm. The work belongs to the field of abstraction and reflects the artist’s exploration of the organic world, rhythmic structures and the tension between the material and the metaphysical.

The composition is formed by overlapping biomorphic structures with soft, rounded edges. Arranged in successive layers, they lead the eye towards the deeper areas of the painting. Repeated arches and curved forms introduce a strong visual rhythm, while gradual transitions between light and shadow enhance the sense of spatial depth.

A restrained palette of greys, graphite tones, black and off-white gives the work a calm, almost meditative quality. At the same time, the contrast between light and dark areas generates tension and suggests continuous movement, as the forms appear to expand, compress and gather together.

Paweł Lubiński draws inspiration from the organic world, its structures and rhythms. He is interested in the tension between what is material and tangible and what belongs to dreams, intuition, premonition and impulse. He perceives thought as a source of constant movement, an idea reflected in “Koncentracja” through the rhythmic accumulation and interaction of abstract forms.

The title “Koncentracja”, meaning “Concentration”, may refer both to the visual accumulation of energy within the composition and to a state of inward focus. The work nevertheless remains open to individual interpretation, inviting the viewer to explore relationships between form, rhythm, space and movement.
