Magdalena Purol – colour, tropics and the power of water
Magdalena Purol, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, is an interior architect, designer and founder of Purol Design. Her main focus is painting, where emphatic colour and line co-create lyrical, dynamic compositions.
Practice & inspirations
Purol draws on exotic flora, travel and direct contact with nature and the elements — especially water. Polynesia and New Zealand hold a special place; in 2017 she completed the highest level of MA-URI® Polynesian Healing Arts. In her works water becomes a symbol of feminine strength and care.
“Lost in Blue” – feminine energy
The recent series “Lost in Blue” speaks about immersion in feminine energy — releasing emotions and rebalancing the inner landscape. Bold chroma and fluid gesture set a contemplative mood.
